Deposits and cancellation policies.

Chalk Hair Salon understands that sometimes schedules change and therefore requests 48 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. A credit/debit card deposit is required to hold your appointment for all bookings. Appointments cancelled with 48 hours or more notice will receive a full refund or can also be rescheduled, moving the deposit paid to the new date and time. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will incur a charge of 50%. “A No Show” will be charged 100% of the service amount.

We do understand that accidents and emergencies happen that prevent 24 hour notice for cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. Please in this case contact us directly to speak to us.

Do I need a patch test?

A valid allergy alert test is required before any colour service. Please book this in at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. These need to be carried out every 6 months unless you are changing hair shade.

We also offer colourstart. Colourstart is a one-time only patch test you do at home, at your leisure, then share the results with us. This means no trips to the salon for a blob behind your ear every 6 months! Want to know more? Read our blog about colourstart here

Getting to the salon and parking

There is one parking space on the salon forecourt, if it is available, please feel free to use it. We recommend you allow time to find alternative parking just in case. You can park in Pay & Display areas on Preston Drove; Ditchling Road & Hythe Rd & surrounding Streets for up to 4 hrs. One area on Preston Drove next to Blakers Park has 11 hours of parking. Priced from £1.50 per hour to £5.60 for 4 hours. Free parking is available on Hollingbury Crescent & Stanmer Park Road & surrounding streets in the Dip (Hollingbury Place). If coming by bus look for the 26, 46 or 5b( stops 3 min walk away). The nearest train station is London Road station, there is also Preston Park station which is a 23min walk.

Can I buy a gift card?

Gift cards are available to buy yourself or a loved one either in the salon or online. Gift cards are valid for up to 12 months.

At the salon our colour products of choice is Schwarzkopf. Schwarzkopf Professional colours are free from artificial fragrances, use 100% recyclable packaging, and do not test on animals.

They are a proven best performing colour brand with unrivalled coverage and colour intensity. All their colours contain the ‘colour crystal complex’ which locks in colour and gives a new level  of care and inner hair strengthening.

Fabriq
